Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was as wonderful as ours was.  Even though we were really missing family, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We are so grateful that we have Ian and Sara here with us, it helps hide the fact that we are 2500 miles away from home on Holidays and on Sundays when we miss our families the most!!  We are so grateful to both of our parents who were so gracious enough to pitch in together to buy us tickets to come home for Christmas!! Now that thanksgiving is over we are raring to go and can't wait to get on the plane to come home and Jake can't wait to be done with school for an entire month break!  We are so excited to get to see everyone, and we will have plenty of time because we will be home for 3 whole weeks. Yay!!!  Anyways we were also lucky enough to be able to get to see Jake's friend Jonny Kelley, he has been in Dental school at Marquette in Milwaukee Wisconsin and he went on a mission to Tampa Florida so when he found plane tickets for only $120 round trip to Florida he decided to come visit us for Thanksgiving and the boys had a blast staying up late almost everynight playing wii and watching movies.  Ian and Sara also share an apartment with another couple and they came over for Thanksgiving as well.  So we had a pretty full house but it was a ton of fun!

My family has this verrrry great tradition, thanks to my Grandma Hamblin (the best Pie maker), that everyone gets to have there very own pie!  So every one chose there favorite pie's and we ended up with 8 pie's for seven people but boy was it good!!

So when we all were still living at home Jon used to come over when ever I made Peanut Butter Pie so when he came for Thanksgiving he asked if i would make him his very own pie! He was a happy boy!

Those are all mighty happy looking boys! Course how could they be anything but that considering they each had their own scrumptious pie! I agree with your mom, Tess, we need a picture of the master pie maker along with her masterpieces.
