Singing and dancing

Nothing special to say, I just know the grandparents are always asking for more videos. Addi just loves Dora and there is one episode that she loves to watch and its where Dora teaches them the mambo dance and song. So yesterday in the middle of sacrament meeting Addi decided to whip out her moves and starts singing at the top of her lungs the mambo song with her well practiced new mambo dance. So, today I was trying to get it on video and she would finally sing it for me but she was a little shy to do her dance for the camera!

It's STILL storming!!

So Tropical Storm Fay (not Hurricane) came a little later than we thought, it was supposed to hit us on Monday night so we thought for sure that it had missed us when it still hadn't hit by Wednesday morning but to our surprise it started down pouring and blowing so hard by Wednesday night it took out our power for the night, luckily it came back up by the next morning, because our apartment was getting pretty warm without power for the air conditioning. The news said that we have gotten 16 inches of rain so far and it is still pouring this morning so we are sure to get more. I wanted to get a picture of the flooding in the streets but I am too wussy to go outside in that storm, one county over from us the news showed that people were actually kayaking in the streets and they are evacuating people because the alligators were coming out of their habitats into the streets because there is so much water. So I think Addi and I will stay safely inside for awhile. We felt really bad for Jake today when we had to send him out in the storm to start school today, all the schools are closed except for the private schools so oh well. I took some video but the rain and wind doesn't show up that well so it hard to see how it really is down here, but the the wind is blowing so hard that it just keeps snapping tree limbs off of the trees and I still jump every time.

Addi Like Talky

Addi's a big fan of the phone. We'll have her call her grandparents, and when they pick up she just jabbers away for as long as we'll let her. She'll give a whole explanation of her day, which sounds like a bunch of grunts followed by a single word. "Mmmm...mmm....Dora" and "Mmmm....mmm....mmmm Momma" are the most frequently heard statements. And when it's time to say "buh-bye", we have to pry the phone away. She refuses to say goodbye and she screams like the devil when we take the phone. It's a crack up.

Beach Baby!!

So, it's a hard life when you live in Florida.  Monday we went to the beach, and I think that Addi thought she had died and gone to heaven.  I have never seen her so excited in her life, she played in the sand and absolutely loved to ride the waves with her daddy. 

Home Sweet Home, I guess???

So, finally I got my house all put together some what and I know everyone has been asking when I was going to post pictures, but I couldn't until my house was clean and put together and so I spent today cleaning and taking pictures.

Now this is our dinning room and our brand new table which I love and talked my husband into buying, we got a pretty good deal on it.  It has and marble top on it and my poor husband was cursing me a good one when he was struggling to carry this heavy son of a gun up to the 2nd floor.         

 Our living room, its got a pretty fun little balcony too.


 And last but not least my wonderfully big Kitchen for an apartment.  I love it and spend most of my time here.

Fun in the Sun!

So just wanted to post some pictures of how much Addi loves her new house and the playground that just happens to be right in our backyard!!  Addi begs all day long to go "ous" (outside).

                                              

Time Out!

So we decided since Addi's getting older and smarter, that she was going to do her time out's in the corner but to our surprise when she got in trouble the other day and we told her to go to the corner we couldn't keep a straight face when she ran and plastered her nose and body in the corner and cried.  Somedays...... 

Rollins College is Beautiful!!!

Jake and I drove by the campus this morning and I was amazed at how beautiful Rollin's was I guess I've just been around ISU my whole life I didn't know that college's could be so pretty!  Also, I'm going to post pictures of our new place soon, but there are just ton's of boxes everywhere I'm just trying to get a little more things unpacked so it looks a little more presentable.

Arrived Safetly!!

As you already know My Dad and Jake took off a few days earlier than Addi and me so they could drive all of our stuff to florida and I just got those pictures.  My dad took a lot of time off of work to come and help Jake drive so that I wouldn't have to and we were so thankful for that help it sure took some stress off of me so when I got into Florida Wednesday night my new apartment was a little more homier than I had expected. Thank you Dad I love you.

They boys decided they had enough driving by the time they hit Nashville so they decided to have a bit of a look around and have a little fun.

We wish Ben Folds was coming to Orlando instead of Nashville!!!!!!
